Board of Directors

Mr. Adil Zainulbhai

Adil is the Chairman of the Board of Network18. Adil graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He retired as the Chairman of McKinsey India after a 34-year long tenure, during which he led the Washington office and established the Minneapolis office. Presently, Adil is the Chairman of Capacity Building Commission of India (CBC). As Chairman, he is leading CBC in implementing the vision of the Hon'ble Prime Minister to equip every civil servant with the necessary training and tools for optimal performance. Adil has also served as the Chairman of the Quality Council of India, where he has been actively involved in numerous initiatives aimed at improving the quality of goods and services, while enhancing the efficiency of Government processes. Adil has co-edited the book 'Reimagining India' and he actively participates in community and social causes.

Mr. Rahul Joshi

Rahul has propelled the news media brands of the Network18 group to leadership positions in digital and television. Since September 2015, when he joined the group, Rahul has turned around the news broadcasting business, taking all national channels (CNBC-TV18, CNN News18 and News18 India) to commanding market leads. He has overseen the group's digital surge, putting Network18 on top of the heap as India's largest digital news media organisation.
Under his leadership, the group launched Moneycontrol Pro, which is now among the top 15 news subscription services in the world. Moneycontrol's fintech character is also being enhanced with the addition of transactions to the popular app. Firstpost has been repositioned as the first-of-its-kind streaming service which is the premier global news brand from India. Rahul also led Viacom18 for two years and helped to set up the sports business for the Reliance group.
He became one of India's youngest editors when he was chosen to lead The Economic Times as Editor, and later Editorial Director. He oversaw the launch of the ET Now business news channel and the drove the growth of ET online. He serves on the board of News Broadcasters & Digital Association.
Rahul has a Master's degree in Management Studies from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.

Mr. P.M.S. Prasad

Prasad is a Science and Engineering graduate. Throughout his impressive four-decade long tenure at Reliance Industries Limited, he has played a crucial role in the company's growth and held various senior positions across business segments, including fibres, petrochemicals, refining and marketing, and exploration & production and new energy businesses. As an Executive Director at Reliance Industries Limited, Prasad has made significant contributions in guiding its diversification from refining and petrochemicals to exploration and product businesses, for which he earned the prestigious Energy Executive of the Year Award in 2008 from Petroleum Economist. He has been felicitated with an honorary doctorate by the University of Petroleum Engineering, Dehradun, for his contribution to the petroleum sector.
P.M.S Prasad is a Director on the Board of Reliance Industries Limited, Reliance BP Mobility Limited, and Reliance Commercial Dealers Limited. He is a member of the Stakeholders' Relationship Committee of Network18 Media & Investments Limited. Ms. Jyoti Deshpande

Jyoti Deshpande is an industry veteran with over three decades of experience in the media and entertainment business. Jyoti joined Reliance Industries in 2018 as President - Media Business to architect and execute RIL's organic and inorganic media strategy across content and distribution value chain. Jio Studios which she incubated ground up, has become a leading Indian content studio in just six years, with over 150 films and web series in multiple Indian languages, signifying the consolidation and 'Jiofication' of the fragmented content industry.
A leading content producer, Jyoti led Jio Studios' unveiling of an unprecedented 100 plus stories across films and web shows in 2023.
Jyoti additionally held the position of CEO - Viacom18 for two years, making her the first and only woman CEO of a 'Big 4' media company. An industry captain, she has served as Chairman, Media & Entertainment Committee, FICCI and worked alongside government and industry colleagues to champion relevant initiatives. She is a member of the prestigious BAFTA as well as IEMMY.
Jyoti has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce and Economics from Mumbai University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from SPJIMR, Mumbai University.

Ms. Renuka Ramnath

Renuka is the Founder, Managing Director, and CEO of Multiples Alternate Asset Management Private Limited (Multiples), a private equity manager and advisor to Funds with AUM of over US$ 3 billion. With over 35 years in financial services, she has deep experience in private equity, investment banking, and structured finance. She previously served as MD & CEO of ICICI Venture, building it into one of India's largest private equity funds before founding Multiples in 2009.

In a career spanning over two decades in India's leading law firms and at the Tata's, Shuva has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities laws, shareholder & governance issues, PE investments and corporate litigations. His experience spans sectors such as commodities, auto, retail, financial services, aviation, media, healthcare, defense, energy, real-estate and public infrastructure.
Prior to founding Anagram Partners, Shuva has served as Group General Counsel of Tata Sons, the principal investment holding company and promoter of the Tata Group and was a Senior Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. and AZB & Partners respectively.
Shuva has been recognized for his illustrious career by various publications and legal guides such as, being awarded the Chambers & Partners 'Outstanding Contribution to the Legal Profession: In-House Award' 2020 and was included in their ‘the Most Influential General Counsel in India' and the 'GC Influencers - Global 100' 2019. Rahul Joshi, who currently serves as the company's Managing Director, has been a part of the Network18 Group since September 2015. Prior to joining the organization, he has worked with reputed publications such as The Indian Express and The Economic Times, where he was also responsible for launching ETNOW in 2009 and shaping ET online’s digital coverage. He holds a Masters in Management degree from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai University.

Kshipra Jatana

Kshipra Jatana is Group General Counsel for Network18. Kshipra oversees legal operations and regulatory matters for all group businesses and joint ventures including A+E Networks, TV18, Viacom18 and Indiacast. Earlier Kshipra has been the Head, Legal for the Group’s news networks and General Counsel at Capital18, the group’s investment arm where she was responsible for deal structuring, legal and compliance for its portfolio investments. Kshipra brings with her 24 years of work experience in the legal advisory and corporate law space. Prior to joining Network18, she was the General Counsel/Head of M&A at MIH India and has also worked with Star TV and AZB & Partners in the past. She holds a degree in law & sociology from the University of Delhi.

Ramesh Damani

Ramesh Damani

Ramesh Kumar Damani is the Group Chief Financial Officer of Network18 and TV18. Ramesh is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary and has a rich professional experience of close to 25 years in the fields of Finance, Taxation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Planning, Corporate laws and Corporate Strategy. Ramesh has been with Reliance for 12 years and since October 2015 has been overseeing the finance function of the Network18 group.

Santosh Menon

Santosh Menon

Santosh Menon heads editorial and content for Network 18’s digital operations as Chief Content Officer and also plays a key role in integrating editorial operations across platforms and brands. A journalist with more than two decades of experience across continents, Santosh joined Network 18 in April 2016 from The Economic Times where he was Deputy Executive Editor and Head of News. Before that he worked for Reuters in London and reported from around Europe. At Network 18, he has driven editorial strategy and expansion across brands and spearheaded the creation of new properties.

Avinash Kaul

Avinash is currently the Chief Executive Officer – Network18 Broadcast News and Managing Director, A+E Networks | TV18. Avinash joined TV18 in mid-2014 as the CEO of IBN News Network and prior to that he was the Chief Executive Officer at Bennett Coleman and Company Ltd TV Division ( Times Now, ET Now, Zoom ) & CEO of Sahara One Media and Entertainment Ltd. He was part of the launch team of NDTV when it turned broadcaster in 2001 and also set up the consulting division of NDTV Media which worked on brands like MSN , Disney, Nickelodeon among other regional and national channel brands in India . His earlier stints in Media were with Star India and Discovery Communications. Avinash has done his Master in Media Studies from Sydenham Institute of Management Studies and is a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Pune University.

As Chief Strategy Officer at Network18, Puneet oversees the Centre of Excellence function, Central Product & Tech, Partnership & Off- platform businesses and Admin & Operations within the group. Puneet also leads digital strategy and is part of the team that evaluates and drives investment and alliance initiatives across technology and digital domain. Erstwhile, he has served as COO of Times Global Partners where he was responsible for overall strategy and growth.

Sanchayan Paul

Sanchayan is a veteran HR professional with more than 25 years of experience. He brings a rare blend of experiences of someone who has traversed many industries and roles. Prior to joining Network18, he was CHRO at Modenik Lifestyle, an Advent International PE-owned enterprise. There he led the merger & integration of two of the portfolio companies and the subsequent cultural transformation. Besides Human Resources, he was also responsible for Administration, CSR, Corporate Communication & PR. Before that, he had a stab at entrepreneurship, founding KaryaMitr, a tech-enabled job-search & skilling platform for the blue-collar workforce. His experiences at Reliance Industries, Reuters South Asia, Eicher Consulting Services and Vodafone India, enables him to advise & partner with business leaders through phases of starting-up, exponential growth, complex integrations & turnarounds. He is passionate about building employer brands, driving organizational effectiveness, and crafting a value-based, performance-driven culture. Delshad Irani is the Editor of Storyboard18, Network18's flagship platform focused on media, advertising & marketing. As the founding editor of Storyboard18, she led the transformation of CNBC-TV18’s long-running advertising and marketing show, Storyboard, into Storyboard18— a cross platform, multi-media destination for modern marketers. Under her leadership, the platform has rapidly become a leading source of news breaks, insights and analyses on media, marketing and advertising. She leads editorial and content strategy for Storyboard18 across Network18 platforms, drives the creation of IPs and Events, and anchors TV/video shows including Media Dialogues with Storyboard18 on CNBC-TV18. Prior to this, Delshad was the editor of Brand Equity, The Economic Times, where she played a key role in BE's expansion. As Chief Content & Strategy Officer at Moneycontrol, Javed Sayed leads the brand's editorial ambition and provides strategic inputs to continue Moneycontrol's success journey. Before joining Network18, Javed worked with the Times Group as Head of News at The Economic Times, where he was also responsible for the print-digital integration as Associate Executive Editor. Karthik was previously the Editor of News18 Network's South TV Channels, and prior to that the Editor (South) at The Economic Times.

Known for his unique style, great narration and fierce attitude, Kishore Ajwani, Managing Editor, News18 India is a renowned name of Hindi journalism. His journalistic journey began in the year 2000 when he joined Doordarshan as an anchor. He later joined Zee News as an anchor-correspondent but in a very short span of time became Deputy Executive Producer. After a successful stint in Zee, Kishore joined ABP News (then Star News) in 2008 and subsequently, Netwok18 in 2016. In a career span of almost 17 years, he has hosted several popular shows. She has been a business journalist for years and has specialized in covering all markets - stocks, currency debt and commodities. He has taught at universities in Australia, Singapore and India and served as an international civil servant with the UN and Global Fund in Geneva, Switzerland.
